Alafia, my name is Porsche Little, and I am an Apetebi of the Ifá tradition.
I created this space not only to offer guidance, but to share a part of my spiritual journey and the path that led me here.
Although my parents were never traditionally religious, my mother was always deeply spiritual. From a very young age, she taught me how to communicate with my guides and ancestors, which created a strong spiritual foundation in my life. Whether I was seeking protection, clarity, or simply speaking from the heart, connecting with spirit always felt natural to me.
As a child, I frequently experienced vivid dreams and eventually discovered my ability to astral project around the age of 15. At the time, I did not fully understand my gifts, but my curiosity continued to deepen my connection to spirituality, intuition, and the unseen world around me.
Over the years, I explored different spiritual practices and forms of protection work, which eventually led me to the Ifá and Lukumí traditions. Through this journey, I learned the importance of discernment, spiritual responsibility, and remaining deeply connected to my ancestors.
As a Black woman, reconnecting with my roots, ancestors, and Orisha has been profoundly healing and transformative. Many of the practices I was once taught to fear have instead brought clarity, protection, balance, and purpose into my life.
I am grateful to be part of a generation of African Americans rediscovering the importance of ancestral connection and spiritual remembrance.
For it is from the root that we find healing, identity, and liberation.
